Do any of you greasemonkeys own a set? What did you think? Could you see needing it somewhere that ratcheting box end wrenches or a different ratchet drive size can't cut it?

Those look pretty awesome, the closest thing I've used are ratcheting wrenches, which are very handy in my opinion. Are they necessary? No. But for a grease monkey they are pretty close to a rating of "must-have".

Those look nice. I'd like a set.

I'm not sure if they have an advantage over a set of gearwrench ratcheting boxends. The gearwrenches are smaller headed, meaning they can get into tighter areas, can be had as reversible, and have an open end on the other side. (They're about my favorite wrench to use).

Plus, you can get a metric and a SAE set for about the same price.

That's kinda what I was thinking too, and I already have a set of em so I can probably get by without these.

If you decide to buy em now, use coupon code TOOLS15 to save an extra $15 for a case of beer :D

Today I finally get to use the toolset i bought like a year ago, to put on my air intake, I'll need approximately one socket, lol.

Ah yes. If only I could afford the case of beer in the first place... Thanks, though.

The biggest advantage for the "Through head" ratchet is removing nuts from long studs or all-thread, which isn't all that applicable on the cars I've worked on. Usually long studs are in deep pockets, so a deep well socket is pretty much a necessity.

I do have some faith in my Craftsman ratchet though, it's put up with a lot of abuse, and while it's wearing out, it refuses to die. I'm already looking forward to replacing it with something like this Wright

I don't have that set, but I do have a similar set of sockets, and they are pretty much required if you ever change out a set of shocks.

I bought a set of gearwrench ratcheting double boxends. They are one of my favorite tools, made so many jobs easier. And yeah, the heads are thin, so they can squeeze in a lot of places.

I got one of these sets, but I haven't had a chance to really use it yet:
